Larnaca: A total of 21 special flights are scheduled to operate on Monday, June 23, from Larnaca Airport to Israel and Jordan, as part of an ongoing repatriation effort for Israeli nationals. At the same time, arrivals and departures between Israel and Cyprus are also being carried out by sea through Larnaca Marina.
According to Cyprus News Agency, today’s schedule includes four special flights to Tel Aviv, nine to Haifa, five to Aqaba in Jordan, and three to Amman. Several previously scheduled flights to Haifa and Tel Aviv, operated by two Israeli airlines, have been cancelled. These repatriation flights require special authorisation from Israeli authorities, as Israel’s airspace remains closed due to the current security situation in the Middle East.
This development follows recent escalations in the region, including US airstrikes targeting three nuclear facilities in Iran. The evolving geopolitical landscape continues to impact flight operations. Meanwhile, boat arrivals from Israel are ongoing at Larnaca Marina, transporting Israeli nationals either returning home or travelling onward to their countries of residence.
