Nicosia: Cyprus has pledged to provide at least £850,000 as humanitarian assistance to Sudan and neighboring countries in 2026, the Foreign Ministry said Saturday. In a post on X, the Foreign Ministry announced that during the Third International Sudan Conference in Berlin, Cyprus committed to delivering this aid through CyprusAid. The assistance aims to support populations affected, including vulnerable children and women.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Cyprus' support will extend to Sudan, South Sudan, Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Eritrea, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Cameroon, and Egypt. This aid will mainly be channeled through UNICEF, UNHCR, and UNOCHA, highlighting Africa as a key priority for CyprusAid.
