Low Pressure Brings Cloudy Weather and Isolated Showers to Cyprus

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating that low pressure is influencing the region. The forecast period spans from 1200 on 18th April 2026 to 1200 on the following day, covering an area extending 8 kilometers seawards.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the weather is expected to be mainly cloudy at times, with isolated showers or thunderstorms predicted. Additionally, dust in suspension is likely to affect the area. Despite the cloudy conditions, visibility is anticipated to be good to moderate, though it may become very poor in certain locations.

The forecast reports the sea surface temperature at 18°C, and there are no warnings currently in effect for the area. Atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1001hPa. Winds are being measured on the Beaufort scale, with all times referenced in local time.
