Tourism Revenue Reaches Record High in 2025 with 15.2% Increase

Nicosia: Revenue from tourism reached a new record high of £3,696.1 million in 2025, marking an increase of £486.7 million compared to 2024, which translates to a 15.2% rise. This information comes from the results of the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service.

According to Cyprus News Agency, December saw tourism revenue reach £96.7 million, which is an increase of 11.3% compared to the same month in the previous year, when the revenue was £86.9 million.

In terms of expenditure, the average spend per person was £616.29 in December 2025, compared to £653.27 in December 2024, showing a decrease of 5.7%. Tourists from Israel, who made up 19.1% of the total tourists in December 2025, spent an average of £145.03 per day. Meanwhile, tourists from the United Kingdom, who represented 19% of the tourists, spent an average of £65.39. Polish tourists, the third largest group at 11.3%, spent an average of £85.69 per day.
