Nicosia: More than 120 professionals participated in the 18th meeting of the Industrial Relations and Human Resources Management Professionals Network (SLRNetwork), organized by the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB). The meeting, which took place on December 9, 2025, is part of the ‘Sound Labour Relations, Contemporary Enterprises III’ (SLR3) Project, co-funded by the EU under the Cohesion Policy Programme ‘THALIA 2021-2027’.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the event concentrated on enhancing employee well-being with a focus on menopause and multiple sclerosis, as well as promoting safety and health in teleworking environments. Michael Antoniou, Director General of OEB, addressed the gathering and provided an update on current developments in labour relations.
Machi Solomou, Certified Menopause Champion at the British High Commission, shared insights into how menopause impacts women in the workplace and offered good practices to support their well-being and empowerment. Georgia Demofanous, President of the Cyprus Multiple Sclerosis Association, educated the attendees on multiple sclerosis, its manifestations, and how to support affected employees effectively.
Dr. Olga Nicolaidou, Labour Inspection Officer at the Department of Labour Inspection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, introduced the OiRA online interactive risk-assessment tool, which now includes assessments for teleworking risks.
