Barometric Low Brings Cloudy Skies and Showers to Cyprus

Nicosia: A barometric low system is currently affecting the sea area of Cyprus, resulting in mainly cloudy weather conditions and isolated showers over coastal regions tonight. Tomorrow, the weather is forecasted to be mainly fine, although local showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issue was recorded at 1012 hPa. Despite the barometric low system, no warnings have been issued for the area. Visibility is anticipated to remain good but may become moderate to poor during showers.

The sea surface temperature is steady at 22°C. The wind and sea conditions across different coastal areas are expected to vary slightly throughout the night and into the next day. On the west coast, winds will shift from north to northeast 3, moving offshore northwest to north during the night, with slight sea conditions. By morning, winds will transition to northwest to northeast 3 to 4, remaining slight.

The south coast will experience northwest to northeast winds ranging from 3 to 4 at night, gradually shifting north to northeast 4 by afternoon, maintaining slight sea conditions. The east coast will see north to northeast winds 3 to 4 at night, gradually changing to northeast to southeast by morning, with slight seas. The north coast anticipates northwest to northeast winds 3 to 4 at night, transitioning to northeast to east, gradually reaching northeast to southeast 4 by afternoon, with slight, occasionally slight to moderate sea conditions.
