EU and Brazil to Sign Historic EU-Mercosur Agreement After 25 Years of Negotiations

Brussels: President von der Leyen and Brazilian President Lula da Silva have announced the upcoming signing of the EU-Mercosur agreement, marking the culmination of over two decades of negotiations.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the agreement represents a significant achievement for both regions, as it establishes the largest free trade zone on the planet.

President von der Leyen emphasized the importance of this partnership, highlighting the mutual benefits such as job creation and better opportunities for businesses on both sides. The EU-Mercosur agreement aims to foster prosperity through international trade, creating a framework of trust and teamwork between Europe and Mercosur countries.
