Nicosia: Revenue from tourism recorded an annual increase of 39.9% in April.
According to Cyprus News Agency, based on the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service of Cyprus, revenue from tourism reached £304.2 million in April 2025. This marks an increase of 39.9% compared to the same month in the previous year, when revenue was £217.4 million.
For the period of January to April 2025, the revenue from tourism is estimated at £582.5 million. This is a 32.2% rise compared to £440.7 million in the same period of 2024.
The average expenditure per tourist was £726.42 in April 2025, an 11.5% increase from £651.69 in April 2024.
Tourists from the United Kingdom, making up 36.3% of the total visitors in April 2025, spent on average £89.33 per day. Meanwhile, tourists from Israel, the second largest market with 15.2% of the total tourists, spent £140.08 on average. German tourists, representing 7.1% of the market, spent £103.23 on average per day.
