Larnaca: An orientation course on the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) is being held in Larnaca from May 26 to 30, featuring 50 delegates from ten EU countries, Jordan, and the US. The event is co-organized by the Cyprus Security and Defence Academy (CSDA) and the Austrian National Defence Academy, under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC), as stated in a press release from the Defence Ministry.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) as a key component of the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP). The course covers the institutional framework of the CFSP, current policies, and procedures, offering a platform for sharing views and perspectives among colleagues and practitioners in the field.

Participants have the opportunity to engage in discussions about security issues related to the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf region. The delegates represent ten EU countries, including Cyprus, Greece, Austria, Armenia, Germany, Ireland, Malta, Slovenia, Portugal, and Spain, along with Jordan and the United States.
