Jerusalem: There are no limits to the prospects for cooperation between Cyprus, Greece, and Israel, the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced during a private trilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. This statement was made on Monday within the framework of the Trilateral Summit held in Jerusalem.
According to Cyprus News Agency, President Christodoulides emphasized during the meeting that the three countries are "predictable and reliable nations" in a geopolitically significant region. He highlighted that despite facing deep geopolitical challenges and security pressures, the cooperation between the nations remains "reliable, resilient, and trustworthy." The foundation of this collaboration is rooted in their interconnectedness across various sectors, including politics, economy, energy, defense, and security.
President Christodoulides expressed optimism about the discussions, stating, "I look forward to our discussion today, and most importantly, to agreeing on specific deliverables that we would like to see in the next six months or until our next meeting." He placed particular emphasis on areas of mutual interest such as defense and security, energy, investments, innovation, and civil protection.
