Athens: Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis engaged in a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, on Wednesday. The discussion focused on the trilateral cooperation between Greece, Cyprus, and Egypt.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on X that the two ministers highlighted the importance of organizing a Trilateral Ministerial Meeting soon. This meeting aims to address regional developments, particularly those in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Within the framework of the Strategic Partnership between Greece and Egypt, the ministers reviewed bilateral issues and exchanged views on regional developments. Gerapetritis and Abdelatty expressed their willingness to enhance and expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Additionally, Cyprus' Minister of Foreign Affairs, Constantinos Kombos, also had a telephone conversation with Abdelatty on Wednesday. Kombos noted on X that they agreed to hold a Trilateral Ministerial Meeting between Cyprus, Greece, and Egypt in Cairo in the near future.
