Cyprus, Greece, Egypt FMs Focus on Security and Energy in Cairo Talks

Cairo: Foreign Ministers of Cyprus, Egypt, and Greece met on Sunday in Cairo to discuss critical issues surrounding security, energy, and shipping, as well as regional developments.

According to Cyprus News Agency, a post on X from Cyprus' Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that during the trilateral meeting, Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos engaged in discussions with his counterparts, Badr Abdelatty of Egypt and Georgios Gerapetritis of Greece. The talks centered on evaluating the ongoing trilateral cooperation among Cyprus, Egypt, and Greece in the sectors of security, energy, and shipping. These discussions were held in anticipation of the 11th Trilateral Summit, scheduled to take place in Cyprus before the end of 2026.

The Ministry further noted that the foreign ministers exchanged views on regional developments, with a specific focus on the Middle East, including Gaza, Libya, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Somalia, and Ethiopia.
