The Industrial Turnover Index reached 180 units (base 2015=100), recording an increase of 16.9% in October 2022 compared to October 2021, according to data published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus, on Thursday.
In manufacturing, the Industrial Turnover Index for October 2022 reached 171.5 units, recording an increase of 10.4% compared to October 2021. Increases were also noted in the sectors of electricity supply and mining and quarrying, with 55.4% and 29%, respectively. The water supply and materials recovery sector recorded a decrease of 1.6% compared to October 2021.
For the period January-October 2022, the index recorded an increase of 22.2% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, with the largest increase recorded in Electricity Supply, which recorded an increase of 65%.
