Greece sends two Canadairs to assist firefighting efforts in Cyprus

Greece will send two Canadair firefighting aircraft to Cyprus on Monday morning to assist efforts to combat the large fire in Limassol district, according to a tweet by the Greek Foreign Ministry.

The MFA said that “Greece will send two Canadair firefighting aircraft to Cyprus tomorrow morning to assist in combatting the large fire in Limassol district, following relevant communication between Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis with his Cyprus counterpart Konstantinos Kombos and the Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Vassilis Kikilias’.
