Four COVID-19 patients die, 159 new cases in Cyprus on Monday, 107 patients are in hospital

Four COVID-19 patients have died, while 159 new coronavirus cases have been detected, Cyprus Health Ministry announced on Monday. The positivity rate is 0.21%.

According to the Ministry, the number of people who have lost their life due to COVID-19 is now 532, and 118,090 coronavirus cases have been reported since the pandemic broke out.

A total of 107 patients are currently hospitalised, 45 of whom in a critical situation, while 82.25% of the COVID-19 patients who are treated in hospital have not been vaccinated. Out of the 45 patients whose condition is critical 19 are intubated, one is treated in an Intensive Treatment Unit but is not intubated and 25 are treated in Increased Care Units.

Moreover 10 post-COVID patients, who have ceased to be contagious, are intubated in Intensive Treatment Units and their situation is critical due to COVID
