Cyprus Police report 26 individuals and 9 shop owners over violations of COVID measures

Cyprus Police reported 26 individuals and 9 shop owners for violation of protective measures to contain the spread of the Covid pandemic.

sA Police spokesperson told CNA that in the last 24 hours ending at 6:00 local time Saturday, police officers carried out a total of 3.256 checks across the government-controlled areas.

Most fines were issued to individuals not wearing protective masks in public spaces and establishments.

In Nicosia, the Police carried out 865 checks reporting four individuals, in Limassol 455 checks were carried out with 15 individuals and one shop owner reported, in Larnaca 2 individuals and another shop owner were reported following 753 checks, in Pafos 1 individual and 7 shops owners were reported after 183 checks, in Famagusta 680 checks were carried out with 4 individuals reported, while 191 checks were made in Morphou
