We stand by the Greek people in practice, Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades said on Wednesday, referring to the help the country is sending to Greece to help combat fires.

“We responded immediately to the Greek government`s call to provide help in order to deal with the catastrophic fires,” President Anastasiades wrote on Twitter.

“We stand by the Greek people in practice,” he added.
