Nicosia: Revenue from tourism recorded an increase of 10.1% in September 2025, compared to the same month of 2024, according to the results of the Passengers Survey carried out by the Statistical Service. Revenue from tourism reached £499.9 million in September, compared to £454.1 million in September 2024.
According to Cyprus News Agency, for the period of January to September 2025, revenue from tourism is estimated at £2,972.8 million compared to £2,575.9 million in the corresponding period of 2024, recording an increase of 15.4%.
The average expenditure per person was £876.01 in September 2025 compared to £891.29 in September 2024, recording a decrease of 1.7%. Tourists from the United Kingdom, the largest tourist market with 31.4% of the total tourists in September 2025, spent on average £115.12 per day. Meanwhile, tourists from Israel, the second largest market during the specific month with 14% of the total tourists, spent on average £158.14. Tourists from Poland, the third largest market with 7.9%, spent on average £102.64 per day.
