On the day of the council meeting, Damianos plans to engage in bilateral discussions with the European Commissioner for Health and Animal Welfare, as well as the Director-General of the Directorate-General for Health of the European Commission. These discussions will focus on ensuring smooth coordination ahead of Cyprus’s assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2026.

While in Brussels, the Minister is also set to meet with Members of the European Parliament, including members and the Chair of the Public Health Committee, Adam Sebastian Jarubas. These interactions aim to strengthen relationships and align strategies ahead of Cyprus’s upcoming presidency.
