“The first reaction of everybody was never will the world after 9/11 be the same. I have exactly the same feeling today about this conflict” in Ukraine, MEP Guy Verhofstadt said, answering journalists’ questions, during the Conference on the Future of Europe, on Saturday in Dublin.
The former Belgian Prime Minister, who is the Cochair of the Executive Board of the Conference, believes that the EU needs further unification.
