The last citizens’ panel of the Conference on the Future of Europe approved 48 of the 51 recommendations submitted

The last citizens’ panel of the Conference on the Future of Europe concluded on Sunday in Dublin with the approval of 48 recommendations.

The panel’s theme was entitled “Stronger economy, social justice, and jobs, education, culture, youth and sport, digital transformation”.

Citizens ended their meeting with 51 recommendations. Forty-eight of those were voted with a majority of more than 70%, thus going forward to the Plenary, which is going to take place early March, in Strasbourg.

The panel had five streams: Working in Europe, An economy for the future, A just society, Learning in Europe and An ethical and safe Digital Transformation.

The “Working in Europe” stream had 8 recommendations regarding the labour market, with proposals like the introduction of a minimum wage across all member states, Digitalisation at work, calling
