President of the Cyprus House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, has said that “following up to the Paris Agreement on Climate will be a litmus test of our collective determination to save our planet and to ensure a sustainable future for next generations”.
Demetriou was addressing 5th World conference of Speakers of Parliament, held in Austria and organised by the IPU and the Parliament of Austria in cooperation with the UN.
She urged legislators and parliamentary leaders to undertake a joint commitment to support global efforts towards a sustainable and resilient post-COVID recovery.
