Security measures reassessed continuously, Justice Minister says


Security measures have been in force for some days now, but depending on developments, continuous information and updates are required, whether they concern infrastructure and facilities or embassies and private companies of Israeli or other interests, Minister of Justice and Public Order Marios Hartsiotis said here on Sunday.

In a statement following the session of the National Security Council at the Presidential Palace, Hartsiotis said that the National Security Council, which is in session for some days now, met today to reevaluate all data and information including last night’s aggressive action by Iran towards Israel, in an attempt to reassess the security measures taken by the Republic of Cyprus.

The Minister added that measures are in force for days now, but depending on the developments, continuous information and updates are required, whether they concern the infrastructure, or the facilities, embassies, and private companies, of Israeli and other interests.
