President Anastasiades travels to Brussels for extraordinary European Council, migration crisis on the agenda

The President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades is travelling to Brussels on Wednesday, to participate in the extraordinary Summit of the European Council.

The main topic on the agenda is migration crisis, a press release from the Presidency says.

During the debate, President Anastasiades will point out the disproportionate burden shouldered by the Republic of Cyprus, due to the increased migration flows. He will also highlight the fact that Turkey continues to instrumentalize the migration crisis.

The European Council is set to discuss also the developments in Ukraine and issues related to the economy.
