Cyprus Police reported 31 individuals and 6 establishment owners in the last 24 hours across the island for violating measures in place to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
A police spokesperson told CNA that in the last 24hours ending on 06:00 local time, 3.413 checks were carried out across the government-controlled areas.
In Nicosia 1.159 checks were carried out and 2 individuals and 1 shop owner were reported, in Limassol 255 checks and as a result 16 individuals and 3 shop owners were reported. In Larnaca the Police carried out 721 checks and reported 2 individuals and 1 shop owner.
In Pafos 138 checks were carried out with 5 individuals and 1 shop owner reported, while in Famagusta 6 individuals were fined after 828 checks and in the Morphou area no fines were issued after 188 checks.
