?here are no risks for the time being for the Cypriot economy from the developments in the region, but the Ministry of Finance will be closely monitoring and is ready for necessary actions and measures, said the Ministry in a statement on Monday, following the extraordinary meeting convened this morning by Minister Makis Keravnos.
It is added that the meeting reviewed developments in the wider Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean region and their possible impact on the Cypriot economy.
It is also noted that all factors that may directly affect the economy and the sectors in which there may be greater impact from a possible escalation of the crisis were examined, while participants exchanged views on the planning and preventive actions by the Ministry should the need arise.
