The illegal Turkish occupation of Cyprus, the presence of Turkish troops in the island and constant threats against the Republic of Cyprus’ sovereign rights, require that the National Guard is continuously ready for immediate action, said the National Guard Chief, Lieutenant General, Demokritos Zervakis.
According to an announcement issued the Cyrus National Guard, Zevrakis was speaking on Friday at a military Camp during the official celebration of patron St. George.
