MotoGP: Bagnaia takes pole position in Barcelona

Italy’s MotoGP world champion and standings leader Francesco Bagnaia will start in pole position in Sunday’s Catalan Grand Prix in Barcelona after the Ducati factory team rider notched the fastest lap in qualifying on Saturday.

Aleix Espargaro and Miguel Oliveira, both riding Aprilias, qualified second and third respectively.

Italian Marco Bezzecchi, who is 68 points behind Bagnaia in third place in the standings and rides on a Ducati for the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, will start in 10th place on the grid.
