Analiontas: The Government will do "whatever is necessary" for a full investigation into the case concerning the findings of the Independent Authority Against Corruption, President Nikos Christodoulides stated. This will be based on the announcements of the Legal Service and always within the framework set by the Constitution and the relevant legislation.

According to Cyprus News Agency, President Christodoulides made these remarks to reporters during an inauguration event in Analiontas village. He emphasized the need to await the submission of the report to the Legal Service for examination, after which further decisions will be announced. He assured that the Government, as the executive power, will ensure a comprehensive investigation into the matter based on the Legal Service's announcements.

President Christodoulides also highlighted the Government's commitment to transparency, accountability, and strengthening citizens' trust in institutions. He reiterated that the executive power will act accordingly once the Legal Service makes the relevant announcements as provided by the legislation.

When questioned about calls for the Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General to recuse themselves from the case, the President reaffirmed that the Government is waiting for the Legal Service's decisions. He assured the Cypriot people that the actions taken will strictly adhere to the Constitution and relevant legislation to ensure a thorough investigation.
