The Ministry of Health has received the positions of the epidemiologists as to whether Cyprus should proceed with the administration of a third COVID19 vaccine dose independently of the decision of the European Medicines Agency.
Asked by CNA if they have received the written positions of the epidemilogists regarding the third dose, Minister of Health Michalis Hadjipantelas said that they did receive them and that a meeting will take place on Tuesday to decide on the proposal that will be put forward during the Council of Ministers` meeting on the issue.
Replying to questions, he said that they are considering the administration of the third dose of the vaccine at an initial stage for certain population groups. In addition, he said that during next week`s Council of Ministers meeting, decisions will also be made as regards the return of students to universities.
