Israel’s Ambassador expresses appreciation to House President for honoring Holocaust victims

Israel’s Ambassador to Cyprus Oren Anolik expressed Israel’s appreciation for the honor that the House of Representatives continuously pays to the victims of the Holocaust, during a meeting with House President Annita Demetriou.

According to a Parliament’s press release, in a meeting on Thursday, Anolik and Demetriou confirmed the common will to continue the excellent cooperation and exchanges between the House of Representatives and the Knesset.

During the meeting, the House President underlined the importance that Cyprus attaches to the commemoration of the Holocaust, so that, as she mentioned, “the messages of this horrible crime against humanity are conveyed to Cypriot society and worldwide, especially to the younger generations, in order to avoid repetition of similar crimes in the future”.

After the meeting, Anolik attended the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives, during which the President of the House made a reference to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holocaust.
