Industrial Output Prices down 2.3% in the first four months of 2021

Industrial Output Prices for the period January-April 2021 showed a decrease of 2.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2020, according to data released Monday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

The Index for April 2021 reached 102.1 units (base 2015=100), recording an increase of 0.6% compared to March 2021. Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the index recorded a decrease of 0.8%.

In April 2021 compared to March 2021, the index remained stable in the sector of electricity supply, while it showed a rise in the sectors of mining and quarrying by 0.3%, manufacturing by 0.6% and water supply and materials recovery by 2.3%.

Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, an increase was recorded in the sectors of water supply and materials recovery (26.5%), manufacturing (1.0%) and mining and quarrying.
