House President to participate in 15th Conference of Presidents of Parliaments of Small European States

President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou travels on Sunday to Monaco, to participate in the 15th Conference of Presidents of Parliaments of Small European States, hosted by the country’s Parliament, between 12 and 14 June 2022.

The Parliaments of San Marino, Andorra, Iceland, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro and Monaco will be participating in the Conference.

According to a House of Representatives press release, the Conference will discuss the role of Parliaments of the small European countries during the Covid-19 pandemic and the lessons learned from this crisis management, the economic and tourism development of small European states, as well as the experiences of women leaders in governments, parliaments and businesses.

The Conference will adopt a Joint Declaration and the participating Presidents of Parliament or their representatives will also be received by the Prime Minister of Monaco, Pierre Dartout.

On the sidelines of the Conference, Demetriou will have separate meetings with the Speaker of the Parliament of Monaco Stephane Valeri, the Speaker of the Parliament of Malta Angelo Farrugia and the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro Danijela Durovic.
