House President Annita Demetriou met Friday with the Vice President of the General Court of the European Union Savvas Papasavvas with whom she discussed ways to better enhance the communication channels between the Parliament and other institutions in Cyprus with institutions in the EU.
They also discussed the developments following the new provocations by Turkey in the fenced off town of Varosha noting that it is for the benefit of the EU to have a just and viable solution that will offer stability and security.
Papasavvas noted that Cyprus as a small country needs to establish channels of communication with all European institutions because this will enhance its presence in Europe.
