Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed Russia`s clear position on the Cyprus issue during his joint statements with Russian President Vladimir Putin after their meeting on Wednesday in Sochi.
Mitsotakis said that Russia`s position on the Cyprus issue is “consistent and constructive”, noting that the Cyprus issue constitutes “an issue of the highest priority for Greece”.
“I reiterated our position on the need for a viable solution within the framework of the Security Council resolutions” which “will be based on the logic of one bizonal bicommunal federation with one legal personality and one citizenship”, Greek Prime Minister said.
