Government Spokesman calls for unity and solidarity to overcome division of Cyprus

Cyprus Government Spokesman, Marios Pelekanos, has said that unity and solidarity are required, with a view to overcome any dividing line that may irreparably affect the interests of Cyprus.

In a speech during an evening church service, on Tuesday, in the context of the “Day of Remembrance” events for the Turkish occupied Lysi village, Pelekanos assured that the government remains committed to finding a solution based on the international law and the UN resolutions.

“Our efforts continue at the diplomatic level, responsibly and in a coordinated manner, with the support of our partners, while our readiness for substantive negotiations based on the respect for the principles and values of the European Union must taken for granted,” he noted.
