Despite being a small state, Cyprus can play an important role in the region as an honest broker for enhancing cooperation, peace, and stability, Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides said on Thursday. The Minister attended the 6th Delphi Economic Forum, participating in the session “Small state diplomacy in a complex order” and as he pointed out, Cyprus is implementing an extrovert foreign policy with the aim of becoming a catalyst for synergies and cooperation in the region.
Given the complexity of the current globalized world, small states must not be isolated, but rather assume a leading role as honest brokers and mediators in the region for enhancing regional cooperation, he said.
