The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for isolated heavy thunderstorms valid from 2300 on Friday until 1700 on Saturday.
It says that isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect the area at times, initially the northern, the western and the southern coastal areas and gradually also other areas.
In that case precipitation rates are expected to range between 35 and 50 millimeters per hour, while hail is also likely.
