Cyprus secured seven gold medals, one silver and 6 bronze in Judo at GSSE taking place in Malta, bringing smiles to the Cypriot team.
George Balarjishvili won gold at 66kg category, Sofia Asvesta also won gold at 52kg category and Kyprianos Andreou at 73kg category.
Earlier Petros Christodoulides won gold at 60kg category.
At 100+kg category Yiannis Antoniou ranked first so did Aristos Michael at -90kg category.
George Krasouniotakis also won gold at 100kg category.
Six athletes got bronze namely Maria Kyprianou at 48kg, Adamantia Christodoulides at 52kg, Panagiotis Siakos at 73kg, Diana Demetriou at 63kg, Petros Kesov at 81kg and Odysseas Georgakis at 81Kg.
?n track, Emilia Kolokotronis won gold in hammer throw with 63.17m., while Valentina Savva won silver with 62.97m.
