Cyprus Health Ministry on Saturday announced 928 new covid cases with the positivity rate to stand at 1,27%. The patients in hospitals have reached 203 of whom 54 in serious condition. According to the figures, 90,2% of the patients in hospitals have not been vaccinated.
No death was reported today and the total number since the pandemic broke out is 384 of whom 256 are male (67%), and 128 female (33%) and the median age is 77,2 years.
Today`s cases were detected from a total of 72,874 tests (rapid and PCR). The total number of cases is 90,338.
From the 72,874 tests, 7,032 were PCR and 65,842 rapid and the cases were detected as follows:
2 from 53 samples from the contact tracing process,
12 from 2,572 tests in airports,
218 from 4,159 tests done on private initiative,
13 from 228 tests done at Microbiological
