Cyprus` Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides attended the military parade in Thessaloniki to mark the anniversary of “Ohi Day”, the celebrated on October 28, expressing Cyprus` gratitude to Greece for the support to safeguard its territorial integrity.
In his statements after the parade, Petrides congratulated the Greek Armed Forces and Security Forces for their performance.
“This year is a special year for Hellenism as it marks 200 years since the beginning of the Greek Revolution which signalled the foundation of the modern Greek State,” Petridis said.
