CING ready to welcome first graduate students from Palestine

Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, CING, is ready to welcome its first graduate students from Palestine, following the accreditation of its master’s programs by the Ministry of Education of the State of Palestine, a press release issued Wednesday says.

The students are set to start their studies this coming September. The press release says that the accreditation is a milestone in the framework of the memorandum of cooperation the CING has signed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in February 2021, with a duration of 2 years within which common actions and projects are taking place.

These include scholarships to a number of foreign students from countries of the region who would like to choose one of the graduate programs of the Institute, the cooperation in research projects and the enhancement of the research cooperation between CING and countries of the Middle East.

CING graduate programs have received accreditations from China, Oman, Jordan and Bahrein. Eligible for these programs are biology, genetics, neuroscience, biomedicine and chemistry students who wish to get a master’s or PhD degree.

CING offers courses in biomedical sciences, molecular medicine, neuroscience and biomedicine research. All courses lead to MsC and PhD except the last one.

Applications for scholarships in Master’s programs can be handed in until June 30th while the deadline for PhD has expired.
