China`s non-negotiable support to the Republic of Cyprus independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty was noted during consultations between delegations of the two countries, presided over by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Chinese member of the Political Bureau of the CCP, Yang Jiechi who is paying Cyprus a visit, Government Spokesperson Marios Pelekanos has said.
In statements to the media, Pelekanos said that during the meeting China`s support to the main principles of the solution of the Cyprus problem as they are defined in UN Security Council resolutions was reconfirmed, a presidency press release said.
“China`s non-negotiable support to the Republic of Cyprus` independence, territorial integrity and sovereign rights, was reiterated, while the two countries` commitment to the policy one Cyprus – one China was reconfirmed,” he noted.
