The Police handed out fines of €9,500 in total and reported 11 shop owners and individuals for violations of the measures against further spread of COVID-19, a police spokesperson told CNA Friday.
During the last 24 hours the Police carried out 1, 931 checks island-wide and booked four shop owners and seven individuals.
In Nicosia, the Police carried out 603 checks and booked one shop (bar) owner and three individuals.
