Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, indicating that weak low pressure combined with an unstable air mass is impacting the region. This weather pattern is expected to bring increased cloud coverage, leading to local showers or thunderstorms, particularly over the southern and eastern coastal areas.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1017 hPa. The sea area covered by this forecast extends 8 kilometers seawards, with winds measured on the Beaufort scale. Despite generally good visibility, conditions may deteriorate to moderate or poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is currently at 18°C, and no warnings have been issued for the period.
