Warm Air Mass Affects Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: A warm air mass is currently influencing the sea area surrounding Cyprus, as detailed in the latest forecast report from the Cyprus Department of Meteorology. The forecast, which covers the period from 1200 on June 11, 2025, to 1200 on June 12, 2025, highlights mainly fine weather conditions with occasional increases in low cloud cover.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast indicates that while visibility will generally be good, it is expected to decrease to moderate or poor levels in misty conditions and very poor during fog. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the report’s issuance stood at 1006 hPa, and the sea surface temperature is recorded at 23°C. There are no warnings currently in place for the region.

The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards, with wind conditions reported on the Beaufort scale. The report also notes that local mist and fog patches are anticipated during the night and early morning hours.
