Unstable Air Mass Brings Showers and Thunderstorms to Cyprus Sea Area

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting unstable weather conditions due to a weak low-pressure system. The forecast, which covers an 8-kilometer area seawards, indicates that the region will experience locally increased cloud coverage, isolated showers, and thunderstorms particularly over the southern, eastern, and potentially northern parts of the area.

According to Cyprus News Agency, these weather conditions are expected to persist from the evening through to the next morning. The forecast also suggests that the western and northern regions may see isolated showers during the night and early morning hours. Despite these conditions, visibility is generally expected to remain good, although it may drop to moderate or poor during showers.

The sea surface temperature is recorded at 19°C, and there are currently no warnings in place for the sea area. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was noted to be 1017 hPa.
