Nicosia: Cyprus secured two more silver medals at the 2026 Taranto Games, with Milan Trajkovic finishing second in the 110m hurdles and Elena Kulichenko claiming silver in the high jump, bringing its total to 12 medals, four gold, five silver, and three bronze.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Trajkovic crossed the finish line in 13.25 seconds, equalling the Cypriot national record he had set himself at the 2017 London Diamond League. France's Erwann Cinna won gold in 13.22, while the Cypriot hurdler repeated his silver-medal success from the Mediterranean Games in Oran four years ago.
Kulichenko cleared 1.92 metres on her third attempt to set a new season's best. She then attempted 1.94m and 1.96m in her pursuit of gold, which was eventually won by Montenegro's Marija Vukovic with a clearance of 1.94m.
