The Cyprus Department of Meteorolgy has issued a yellow warning for extreme high temperature.
The warning is valid from 1100 to 1600 on Thursday.
It says that inland maximum temperature is expected to rise to around 40 degrees.
It notes that some health risks amongst vulnerable people e.g. the elderly and very young are possible.
