Larnaka: Several flights that had been temporarily suspended due to the situation in the Middle East have resumed operations in the past few days, "strengthening connectivity at the two airports of the Republic of Cyprus (Larnaka and Pafos)," according to Hermes Airports.
According to Cyprus News Agency, airlines of the Lufthansa Group, including Lufthansa, Austrian, Edelweiss, and Eurowings, along with British Airways, easyJet, and Transavia, have reinstated their flights to and from Larnaka and Pafos airports. Additionally, Emirates has resumed its Larnaka-Dubai route, operating on a daily basis since Saturday.
On Monday, based on airline schedules, a total of 102 flights were expected to operate at Larnaka Airport and 36 flights at Pafos Airport. However, flights to and from Israel, as well as those to and from Qatar, Bahrain, and Lebanon, remain cancelled. Passengers planning to travel are advised to check the websites of the respective airlines or contact their travel agents for information and bookings.
Currently, the two airports offer direct connections to various countries, served by multiple airlines. Larnaka Airport provides connectivity to destinations in the United Kingdom, Greece, Poland, Germany, and several other European countries, as well as the United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, Pafos Airport connects to the United Kingdom, Greece, Poland, Germany, and several other European destinations.
